Ricky GrovesThe remaining six couples danced in the tenth week of Strictly Come Dancing. Jade Johnson is no longer going to take part in the competition due to an injury to her ligament.

The first couple to dance was Ali Bastian and partner Brian Fortuna. They danced the Foxtrot and scored 8 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 35.
Len said, “I saw your nerves actually for the first time this evening. You stepped on Brian’s left toe, but I thought it was a very polished routine.”
Craig said, “I had no feeling that you were nervous. It was an angel delight. It was very very nice, well done.”

The couple to dance next was Natalie Cassidy and Vincent Simone. They danced the Samba and scored 6 + 7 + 8 + 5 = 26.
Len said, “It was a bit like foot and mouth, he was looking at the mouth I was looking at the foot. Natalie it was all in hold, it was like a garden with no flowers.”
Bruno said, “This was more Bournemouth than Brazil. It was one of your poorest performances.”

Chris Hollins and Orla Jordan danced next. They danced the Viennese Waltz and scored 7 + 8 + 7 + 7 = 29.
Alisha said, “I know you can pivot well, but I don’t need to see that much in one dance.”

The couple to dance next was Ricky Whittle and Natalie Lowe. They danced the American Smooth and scored 9 + 8 + 10 + 9 = 36.
Len said, “I thought the whole number was absolutely gorgeously fantastic. Why did you do that stupid big lift? I was disappointed with that.”
Alisha said, “I think every woman would have liked to be lifted like that. It was gentle it was understated, it was absolutely beautiful, it was a show stopper.”

The couple to dance next was Laila Rouass and Anton Du Beke. They danced the Waltz and scored 6 + 8 + 7 + 8 = 29.
Bruno said, “In spite of that mistake, it was beautiful.”

Craig said, “I didn’t feel that you were entirely following Anton, you were a bit behind.”

The next couple to dance was Ricky Groves and partner Erin Boag. They danced the Tango and scored 5 + 6 + 6 + 5 = 22.
Len said, “Unfortunately, Ricky knows there were far too many mistakes.”

There was a fantastic swing routine from Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova. After that Bruce asked the judges what they thought of the dancers. Bruce asked “Based on tonight’s dancers where would you put the money in Lira, Bruno?” To that Bruno replied, “I would put my money on Ali and Brian and Ricky and Natalie.”

After this the professional dancers performed a group Rumba. The guest star for tonight was Dame Shirley Bassey and she performed on the show. Garry Barlow from Take That wrote the lyric to her song. Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe danced a ballroom dance to Shirley Bassey’s song.

The two couples left in the dance off were Laila Rouass and partner Anton Du Beke and Ricky Groves and partner Erin Boag. Craig, Alisha and Bruno saved Laila and Anton. This meant that Ricky and Erin were out of the competition.
