Strictly Come Dancing

The former England cricketer Phil Tufnell has been confined to a wheelchair - after tearing cartilage while competing on the BBC dance show.

Phil Tufnell's place on Strictly Come Dancing may be in doubt after the surgery. Tufnell, 43, underwent keyhole surgery on his knee during the weekend at a private hospital in St John's Wood, London on 4 October 2009.
 
The England spin bowler, hopes to make a speedy recovery and has just three days to perfect a salsa with his dance partner Katya Virshilas before Saturday's live performance.
 
Tufnell wrote on Twitter: 'Dr said everything went well; after a bit of physio could be training by Tues.' On Saturday Strictly Come Dancing show former Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding was voted out from the  competition after losing a dance-off against Loose Woman Lynda Bellingham.
