Christine Bleakley

Christine Bleakley was born on 20th January 1981 and is a television presenter known for her work in Northern Ireland where she was born. She has hosted a wide variety of shows including the One Show on BBC One.

Christine trained while studying for her A-Levels and later worked her way up the ranks at BBC NI whilst studying for a Politics degree.

Christine’s biggest solo series was called ‘Sky High’ where she flew around Northern Ireland in a helicopter in 2004. Later she hosted the weekly entertainment show called ‘First Stop’ and also appeared in shows like ‘Would You Pass The 11+’ and Children in Need which allowed her to develop her presenting skills.

Christine co-hosted the BBC Two talent show ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and since August 2007 she has been the co-host of ‘The One Show’. Christine is currently dating leisure entrepreneur Mark Beirne, owner of Life Inns.

At 27, Christine is the youngest celebrity taking part in series six of Strictly Come Dancing. Her dance partner will be the winner of series five, Matthew Cutler.
